The formal education program was progress smoothly at the center. With the assistant from 6 departments, Phnom Penh Waste Management Authority (PPWM) and Project Coordination Unit of The Municipality of Phnom Penh, there was still remained 42 waste picker children participate in the courses |

The subjects were leaded by the training facilitators for the following topics:
The impacts of chemical fertilizer and its solutions
Proper waste dumping and brainstorming activities
Literacy studies and children rights
Children trafficking and women abuses
Health care services
Traditional performances
Morality and children responsibilities |

Besides children education, there was a vocational training program on sewing to 10 women, who were selected from waste picker families, in this multipurpose center. It was found out that most of the trainee could adapt with new methodologies, while some of them have a constraint with calculation.

On 12 August 2005 at Stung Mean Chey Development Center, a group of France charity donated educational tools to children who under taking the course. Each of 65 children received book, pen, noodle packages, cake, and 500 Riels. |
