Prevention of Transportation Fee Overcharging from Phnom Penh to Other Provinces during Khmer New Year
Phnom Penh Capital Hall would like to inform, owners of companies and vehicles who provide transportation services from Phnom Penh to other provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia, that every year during Khmer New Year, some people in Phnom Penh travels to homeland through taxi or bus. Some companies and vehicle owners overcharge this transportation fee, causing complaints by travellers, and some of them pay for the whole vehicle fee and overload vehicle while others ride on the top, a source of eventual danger.
In order to facilitate this transportation for people and to prevent accidents arising from overloading, Phnom Penh Capital Hall would like to appeal to owners of companies and vehicles who provide this service not to overcharge the fee during any major national events.
Phnom Penh Capital Hall hopes that owners of companies and vehicles will follow this announcement.
Up on receiving, all levels of authorities must implement this announcement effectively and take actions for those who fail to abide by it, causing public disorder and unsafe.
