Khmer cakes and dessert exhibition was officially inaugurated by high presence of H.E KEP Chuktema, Phnom Penh governor and Lok Chumteav in the afternoon of August 30th, 2012 at the riverside garden in front of Ounaloam pogoda. H.E governor stated that this is the 2nd times of Khmer Cakes and Dessert Exhibition in order to promote national identity, culture and tradition from any losses. This exhibition is also for objectives to share experiences and knowledge of how to produce Khmer cakes and dessert to the next generation for taking part to keep this inheritance forever. We are really proud that our ancestors have remained good culture and tradition for us, especially related to Khmer cakes and dessert producing from agriculture products which show the talent of our people.
There are many kinds of Khmer cakes and dessert to display during the exhibition such as oil cakes, packaged cakes, fried cakes, dry cakes, dessert, juice, Mundulkiri coffee, ice cream and jam. There were about 98 kinds of dessert and cakes sold during the expo.
