After attending the official inauguration of troop commander of Techo Meas and Techo Yot statue, on 1st Sep., H.E Governor KEP Chuktema and Madam brought 20 Thousand US Dollars to the Chief of Buddhist Monk in Saravon Techo pagoda in order to rebuild a monastery after it was damaged by fire on the night of 3rd March 2012.
H.E Governor KEP Chuktema and Madam has always given support in the field of Buddhism as the state religion, especially in Saravon Techo Pagoda, in Daun Penh district’s Chey Chom Neas commune such as the construction of monasteries, repair of temples and other infrastructures in the temple campus. Furthermore, H.E Governor and Madam have continuously supported students who are staying in the pagoda in order to pursue the study.
Additionally, during the three month of the rain retreat season (Chol Phreah Vosa), H.E Governor offers religious candles to 146 temples across Phnom Penh, in where 6,329 monks are living. This has been a significant contribution in order to promote religious practices.
