Phnom Penh, March 18, 2011

H.E Mr. Masafumi KUROKI
Ambassador
The Embassy of Japan

The Phnom Penh Capital City was deeply saddened after receiving the information about the life lost, injures and disappearance of several thousand of Japanese people caused by earthquake and Tsunami which damaged the northeast of Japan on March 11, 2011.

Japan plays as the top development partner for Cambodia; particularly Phnom Penh has been receiving a lot of financial and technical assistants from Japan for the development and rehabilitation of our city.

Meanwhile, on behalf of Phnom Penh Capital City, my staffs and citizens of Phnom Penh, would like to deeply share the condolence from the bottom of our heart to Your Excellency, your citizens, especially to family of victims caused by that natural disaster. We strongly believe Japan will overcome and recover from this tragedy very soon.

Please accept, Your Excellency, our deep sincere condolence.

Yours Sincerely,

KEP CHUK TEMA
Governor
The Phnom Penh Capital City
