First mandate Phnom Penh Council has conducted its 36th ordinary meeting on May 27, 2012 presided by H.E MOB Sarin, chairperson of the council and Mr. NUON Somet, deputy governor of Phnom Penh Capital on behalf of H.E KEP Chuk Tema, the governor of Phnom Penh Capital. The agenda of the meeting is focused on :
1. Check and approve the previous draft minute of the 35th meeting on April 30th,2012
2. Listen to updated activity report for May 2012 in terms of 3 months implementation plan (April-June 2012) of Phnom Penh Administration.
3. Check and approve draft key activity plan adding to 3 month activity plan( April-June ) of Phnom Penh Administration
4. Other business
The Council appreciated the Board of Governor for his efforts to implement many tasks such as 2 phases of flood protection project, solid waste management project, public works and transportation project and vehicle tax. However, the council also raised the issue regarding wrong disposal and request relevant line departments to refine some traffic lights such as Ambassador traffic light.
By referring to those suggestion, Mr. NOUN Somet, deputy governor has reported to the council meeting about the challenges, previous and upcoming measures and promises to accept those comments for next improvement.
Finally, H.E chairperson of the council suggests Phnom Penh Administration to disseminate the obligation of asset declaration to all 96 Sangkat Councilors to avoid the punishment of the law and confirms next ordinary meeting on June 28th ,2012.
