Education Quality Upgrading is to Support the Royal Government's Rectangular Strategy

The wrap-up workshop for the 2010 education activity and targeting 2011 was held under chairmanship of H.E KEP Chuk Tema, Governor of Phnom Penh at Phnom Penh Pedagogic Center on January 26, 2011. In his welcome remarks, Mr. CHEA Cheat , Director of Department of Education, Youth and Sports reported the results of the activities of eduction, youth and sports in Phnom Penh by pointing out the strength and weakness of the previous year to be used as the fundamental evaluation and targeting goals for fruitful implementation of the following years.
Addressing to the workshop, H.E Governor proudly expressed his cheerfulness to the results of the education, youth and sports activities which were jointly achieved in last year; it was really one of the great practices. Everything is for the sustainable economic growth, equity and poverty reduction lead to build up Cambodia peacefully and prosperously. Furthermore, the strengthening and enhancement of education quality is the key factor to build up and develop human resources which is the 1st prior point of the 4th goal in the Royal Government's rectangular strategy; the implementation program of the Government realized to terminate illiteracy or "Education for All" by 2015. On the other hands, H.E Governor has pointed out the wisdom and talented leadership of Samdech Techo Prime Minister; the brilliant leader of the Cambodian Government who has put down significant strategic policies to fight against poverty and to promote all kind of development for Cambodia.
Meanwhile, H.E Governor also advised to the department of education and all teachers to well manage on the private education centers to ensure the education in quantity and quality as well as continue to disseminate and implement the Village - Sangkat Safety Policy for healthy society; try to aware all students to study hard and avoid using drugs and gangsters to become good citizen in the future. During that occasion, H.E Governor provided 5,000USD to the Phnom Penh Pedagogic Center to concrete pave a road line in that center.
