The roundabout and garden construction project were discussed during the Capital Hall’s monthly meeting of July on July 02, 2012. The meeting was reported by the technical staff of the Department of Public Works and Transport showing that the project located at laterite roundabout of of NR 2/Road 20A, Rolous Commune, Dangkor District, Phnom Penh (the former Neang Toul Khoam Roundabout).

After the presentation and discussion, the Capital Hall had decided to assign the department of public work and transport to cooperatively work with district authority in order to measure and determine the actual location and set up a boundary of the project aiming to further study on related impact if any. Then, the Department of Public Works and Transport would deploy its equipment for the commencement of the project as soon as possible. During that meeting, the technical staff also requested for selection of a stupa, with 3 options to be installed at this roundabout:

  • 1- Laterite roundabout construction project with Srey Toul Khoam Stupa;
  • 2- Laterite roundabout construction project with a Globe;
  • 3. Laterite roundabout construction with Preah Kou (Ox Stupa).

It would be remarked that in the meeting, H.E Governor had already decided to commence the roundabout plan. However, any stupa to install (Srey Toul Khoam or Ox) was not agreed yet and would be selected later.
