On April 12, 2008 the Municipality of Phnom Penh held a ceremony to make an offering of rice to 59 Buddhist monks. The ceremony was attended by H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh and his wife, Deputy Governors of Phnom Penh and city hall officials. The event was held to pray for happiness for the New Year.
