  • The Municipality of Phnom Penh Gives Plots of Land to Victims Suffering from River Bank Collapse

After the collapse of river bank causing a large number of houses fell into Tonle Sap, 50 families face homeless. Seeing the people’s difficulties, H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh brought donations to river bank-collapsed victims living in Reussey Keo District. Each family received 50 kilo grams of rice, some necessities and 100.000 riels. Speaking to the people the Governor said, « This is an incident that everyone do not want to meet, fortunately the collapse of river band did not claim anyone life. To avert the incident, the Municipality of Phnom Penh seeks new location for resettlement. » He added, « Although the new location is rather further, but it is a safe place and has good infrastructure. » .
