In April 1, 2008 Phnom Penh Cultural Center conducted national campaign against human trafficking and public forum on anti-human trafficking under the presidency of Lork Chum Teav YOU OY, Secretary of state of the Ministry of Woman’s Affair and also a chairwoman of national team forces for anti-human trafficking and H.E PA SOCHEAT VONG, Deputy governor of Phnom Penh. Speaking to some 100 people, Lork Chum Teav said now the Royal Government is concerned over human trafficking to abroad through wedding which to pose danger to Khmer women. The roote cause of human trafficking is poverty, poor education, dream to live abroad through wedding. H.E PA SOCHEAT VONG said the public forum was very important amid the increasing human trafficking in Phnom Penh from day to day.
