On November 06, 2007 the Municipality of Phnom Penh held the signing agreement on awarding contract to Global Cambodia Trading Development Co. Ltd for running Taxi Mete Service in Phnom Penh.

The agreement was reached between the Municipality of Phnom Penh, represented by Ngnem Saron, Director of Phnom Penh Department of Public Works and Transport and Global Cambodia Trading Development Co. Ltd, represented by HU GUNG XI, Director of the Company under the chairmanship by H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh.

Sourn Rindy, Deputy Cabinet of the City Hall said, « The company was authorized by the government to invent in Taxi Mete service for 20 years but it is not monopoly company. The company planed to invest 1.6 million dollars in the first three years and buy 60 new cars. For the second step the company is scheduled to buy 200 cars for five years. And for the third step the company will buy 300 more cars to serve some 700 to 1000 people.» His Excellency the Governor extended welcome to the transportation investment and asked for the company to set an appropriate price.
