The Municipality of Phnom Penh would like to announce to the public and citizens who are staying in Boeng Kak area getting to known that based on the Urban Master Plan of Phnom Penh's development project, well-organized with sanitation, environment, and promotes the living condition of our people in Phnom Penh city, The Municipality of Phnom Penh has determined to develop many areas, including Boeng Kak site, located in Sangkat Sras Chak, Khan Daun Penh, enabling to turn this area in to pleasant, trade, and service places for domestic and international tourist.

Recently, there are some public media and pessimists emerging misinformation as groundless to provoke that the project development plan will be evicted those people, residing in Boeung Kak to the outskirt urban site, causing the people in this area are worried and disappointed with the local authority, and the pessimist gang grabs this occasion and takes the benefit to create the popularity of their party.

The Municipality of Phnom Penh would like to reveal to the public, basically the people who are settling in Boeung Kak site that the contract which has been reached an agreement between the Municipality of Phnom Penh and Shukaku Inc is no article to raise on the relocation to the peri-urban area, but in contrary, on the article 9 of the contract has clearly stated that “... Compensate to the people with providing home on investment site...”. By the way, the Municipality of Phnom Penh would like to confirm that the Boeung Kak development plan must be consulted with the stakeholders in this area before making decision.

The Municipality of Phnom Penh expects that our people with not believes the provoking acts of pessimist gang, and let people concerned to cooperate with the local authority for the development of this area to achieve positive results.
