On June 26, 2007 H.E MAP SARIN, Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh presided over the Drug Destroying Ceremony at Olympic stadium. The theme of the ceremony this year is «Why Let Drug to Control Your Life». The aim of drug destroying is to remind the people, youths as well as students throughout Phnom Penh to know the danger of drug and also express the aspirations of people who want to live in the city without drug. A total of 117.487 tablets and a total of 64.129 Kg of power drug were destroyed. Speaking at the ceremony, the Governor said drug has sparked concern to the people all over the world so we need social involvements to fight against.
