On June 06, 2007 the Municipality of Phnom Penh held groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of park in front of Botum Votey Pagoda. The park is 550 meters long and 110 meters wide located in between street Soramret, street Sothearos, street 240 and street Oukha Sou Srun with the total area of 5880 square meters. The ceremony was presided over by H.E MAP SARIN, Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh and also a representative of H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh. The park will be renovated, planted trees, placed electric lamp. The park will be at an expected cost of 3015 million riels.
