• Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Construction of Two Streets in 7 Makara District

H.E KEAT CHHUN, Senior Minister and Minister for Economics and Finance and H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh on July 11, 2007 Presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of two streets: Street 242 and Street 150 located at Vel Vong Commune, 7 Markara District, Phnom Penh. According to chief of 7 Makara District Srun Sran, the streets will be paved with DBST by Phnom Penh Department of Public Works and Transport. The streets follow 50-50 cost-sharing formula between the government and people. Speaking at the ceremony, the minister for economics and finance said he participated with Phnom Penh Governor to preside over the last construction of street in 7 Makara District, particularly he was intended to meet the residents here who are supporting 50-50 policy introduced by Samdech Prime Minister HUN SEN. He extended his appreciation to Phnom Penh Governor who has carried out three main tasks: Route reconstruction, sewage system restoration and tree planting.
