• Phnom Penh Red Cross Branch Distributes Donations to Children Affected with Dengue

On July 06, 2007 Phnom Penh Red Cross Branch led by H.E PA SOCHEAT VONG, President of Phnom Penh Red Cross and also Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh distributed donations to 68 poor families whose children were under medical treatment in Phnom Penh Referral Hospital. Each family received 10 package of instant noodles, four cans of milk and canned fish, a kilogram of sugar, a mosquito net, a blanket, a set of plate, a mat and amount of 30.000 riels. Apart from those donations, IV fluids and medicine were handed over to the Phnom Penh Referral hospital. According to the president of Phnom Penh Referral Hospital, 100 children who were affected with sever Dengue were hospitalizing, most of whom came from various provinces and cities. He added that since the epidemic of dengue, Kuntha Bopha alone could not provide medical service enough for Dengue patients due to the increasing of dengue. So some were referred to the Phnom Penh Referral Hospital.
