- Japan Provides Grant for Flood Protection and Drainage Improvement Projects in Phase II in Phnom Penh

On Feb 13, 2007 the Municipality of Phnom Penh held a signing agreement on flood protection and drainage improvement projects in main commercial and tourist sites in Phnom Penh: Central market, Phsa Chas, Phsa Kandal, National Assembly, Royal Palace, Wat Phnom and National Museum.
The agreement was reach between H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh, a representative of Cambodia side and Mr. MEADA MASAKUZU, a Manager of Japanese International Engineering, a representative of Japan side. The project is at an expected cost of 49 million Yen.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Governor expressed his profound gratitude to Japanese government as well as Japanese people that always help develop Cambodia.
