- 4 Villages in Kandal Province Made Part of Phnom Penh

On Jan 31, 2007 the Ministry of Interior held a ceremony to declare four villages in Kontork commune, Angsnol district, Kandal Province to be made part of Chom Chao commune Dangkor district, Phnom Penh. The ceremony was presided over by H.E DOCH SOUN, Deputy Secretary General of the Administrative Department of the Ministry of Interior, who is also high representative of H.E SAR KHENG, Minster for Interior; H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh and H.E KHIM BO, Governor of Kandal Province.
According to H.E KHIM BO, the four villages have a total area of 25.97 hectares of land, inhabited by 28 groups of 468 families or 2.413 people. There are 433 houses, 25 factories and firms with 4.577 workers, four filling stations and a warehouse.
Speaking at the ceremony, H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, expressed his profound gratitude to the Ministry of Interior and Kandal province for the smooth handover of the four villages. The Governor appealed to the Chief of Dangkor district to make arrangements to urgent issue new family books to the four villages’ residents.
