  • Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Construction of 11 Streets in Chamkarmon District

On December 18, 2007 H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh presided over a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 11 streets in Toul Tom Pong I and Beoung Tra Bek Commune, Chamkarmon District, Phnom Penh. The ceremony was presided over by H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh along with City Hall officials and some 800 residents. Among 11 streets, 8 is located in Toul Tom Pong I Commune and three in Beoung Tra Bek Commune. The 11 streets will be paved with bamboo concrete by David Construction and follow 50-50 cost-sharing- formula between people and the Government. His Excellency the Governor regarded Chamkamon district the most prominent one in Phnom Penh which followed 50-50 cost-sharing formula.

To encourage the two districts, the Governor declared to provide them with two vehicles to facilitate their job.
