On December 1, 2007 H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh led a delegation to compete World Leadership Awards in World Leadership Forum to be held in London, British from 5th – 6th December 2007 with the participation of 400 cities.

The presentation and defense of « A DRIVEN TO ENVIRONMENT RENOVATION» under the topic of « Environment,» Phnom Penh won the award, beating other cities such as Albuquerque- New Mexico of the United States, Mexico- Mexico and Tainan- China.

A great success not only brings happiness to officials and Phnom Penh residents but also provides great honor and proud to our nation and Cambodia people as a whole. This is an indication that under the leadership of Samdech Prime Minister HUN SEN, authorities at all levels, police forces and the whole Phnom Penh residents are working together to restore and build Phnom Penh city to be the centre of political, economic, tourists and diplomacy with sustainability, safety, security and development which turns Phnom Penh into heart of Cambodia.
