• Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Construction of a Street from Chherg Ek to Kankal Province

A portion of street from Chherg Ek roundabout to National Route 3 was officially opened groundbreaking ceremony on February 26, 2007 under the presidency of Samdech Prime Minister HUN SEN. The street has achieved 85 percents and is scheduled to complete in February 2008 in the run up to the Khmer New Year. The government has granted permission to the Municipality of Phnom Penh in cooperation with Kandal province for the feasible study and implemented by Phnom Penh Department of Public Works and Transport. The street is 30 meters wide and 5.000 meters long and have been paved with DBST. It is regarded as a main street to relieve traffic congestion in Phnom Penh.
