- Ku So No Ki Tree planted, to Beef up Friendship between Ku Ma Moto and Phnom Penh

A tree- Ku So no Ki was planted in the City Hall compound by a delegation from Ku Ma Moto Provice, Japan, on August 14, 2007 in the presence of H.E THONG KHON, Minister for Tourism, H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh and TANIGAWA MASA TOSHI, director of KO MA MOTO International Center. Mr. NOUN SOMET, Chief of Phnom Penh Municipality Cabinet said the Ku So No Ki tree was brought from KU MA MOTO temple compound—the oldest and best-known in Japan.
«The planting of the tree today is not only to upgrade the beauty of Phnom Penh but also to provide political meaning and great importance to the future of the nation and the people as a whole, he said». Moreover, the tree planting is to mark the 400th anniversary of KU MA MOTO temple and to celebrate the opening of the first special flight from KU MA MOTO to SIEM REAP.»
