• World Bank Director Hand-over Land Titles to 791 Families

On August 2007, H.E IM CHHUN LIM, Minister for Urban Planning, Land Management and Construction, H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh and Mr. ROBERT B.ZOELLICK, Director of the World Bank presided over a ceremony to hand over land titles to Kork Cham Bork residents and the public announcement of the criteria of systematic land registration. The ceremony was held at Prey Pring Village, Choum Chao Commune, Dangkor District, Phnom Penh. His Excellency the Governor said « Today is a landmark day the residents of 791 families have a great honor to receive land titles directly from H.E IM CHHUN LIM and ROBERT B.ZOELLICK.»

Also on that occasion, H.E IM CHHUN LIM said the people there as well as other place were receiving benefits from the Land Management and Administration Project (LMAP). As a result, land titles for some 20.000 plots of land have been given to people on a monthly basis with a view to solving land disputes.
