• The Governor Visits National Route 5

In pursuance of the Samdech HUN SEN's instruction, Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia on Sept 17, 2006, H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Mayor of Phnom Penh led expert officials to visit a portion of dumpy National Route 5 located in Prek Phnov commune, Pungea Leu district, Kandal Province. According to TEP SOTHY, governor of Pungea Leu district, the street was damaged from Prek Phnov Bridge to Prek Phnov market. The damaged route is about 150 meters long and would be repaired soon after an order by the Governor in a bid to relief the traffic on Pchum Ben Day. The Governor suggested two options to repair the route.

- First, paved with DBST
- Second, paved with concret
The second option had been chosen to ensure long term quality.
