• Ceremony to Remove Bandages

On September 08, 2006 Phnom Penh Referral Hospital held ceremony to remove bandages to 500 patients who had just been operated for eyes for free of charges by Vietnamese doctor. The event was presided over by H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh, H.E LE HOANG QUAN, member committee of Vietnamese Communist Party and H.E MAM BUN HENG, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Health. Speaking at the ceremony, the Governor expressed his profound gratitude to an Association for Helping the Poor in Ho Chi Minh City for helping operate for eyes on Cambodia people. This is indicative of fine relations between the two peoples—Cambodia-Vietnam. The chairman of the Association provided Phnom Penh Referral Hospital with two eye surgery equipments and pledge to provide disabled people with 100-150 more wheelchairs and help treat children who suffering with facial deformities.
