On July 22, 2006 at 9.00 am. H.E MANN CHHOEURN, Vice Governor of Phnom Penh had talk with Mr. GREGOR, Director of MISEREOR Organization and Mrs. SAM SOK, Director of ACHR about the development of poor communities in Phnom Penh.

To begin with, H.E MANN CHHEOURN told Mr. GREGOR about city expanding map and the granting of first priority of credit loans— house building, transportation and small business loan to poor communities.

Second, the delegation visited ROS REAY community on the ground— a model community where took out loan and paid back in time. After visiting ROS REAY Community, the delegation visited BOREI KEILA Community. They were content with the those achievement and they applauded the Municipality for its efforts particularly, the providing of ground floor for the poor in a bid to obtain benefit.

In the afternoon, there was a monthly meeting held by Board of UPDF to adopt the budget allocation for Samaki market, house building loan, small business loan which are worth US$ 5,000, 130 million riels, 17 million riels, respectively and the granting of transportation loan as an incentive and they instructed UPDF staff members to work more hard.

The meeting ended at 18.20 pm. in a cordial atmosphere.
