• Ground Breaking Ceremony for Construction of New Bridge Adjoining to Preah Monivong Bridge

The Municipality of Phnom Penh held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new bridge adjoining to Preah Monivong bridge located in Sangkat Chbar Ampov, Khan Mean Chey, Phnom Penh. The ceremony was presided over by Prime Minister Samdech HUN SEN, H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh Municipality. According to the Governor, the new bridge, laying across Bassac river is 268 meters long and 14 meters wide, and 10 meters southward of Preah Monivong , with similar design. The bridge was awarded the contract to Oversea Cambodia Investment Company and Sino-Pacific Corporation— the sub-contractor. It will have been completed within 18 months at an expected cost of 10 million USD. The rent from Kosh Pich will pay for the construction.
