  • Drainage is the First Priority Job in Phnom Penh

On August 14, 2006 the Municipality of Phnom Penh held Permenent meeting. The meeting was attended by H.E PA SOCHEAT VONG, Vice Governor of Phnom Penh along with several City Hall officials. The Meeting dwelled on certain priority jobs such as drainage system improvement, a construction of Presh Monivong Bridge, house building for former Sambok Chab villagers at Sangkat Kosh Roka and weapon and explosive confiscation in Phnom Penh. Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Governor appealed to authorities at all levels and expert departments to pay heed to improve drainage systems which are the top priority in Phnom Penh and the confiscation of weapons and explosives from government officials in Phnom Penh. According to Mr. NOUV SAREOUN, Director of Drainage Unit, the first drainage system to be restored were located at Olympic and next Beoung Keng Kang, Kampuchea Krom, Sangthor Mok, and Wat Phnom.
