The city hall held a monthly meeting focusing on cleaning up the sewage system in Phnom Penh under the presidency of H.E. KEP CHUK TEMA governors of PPM along with vice governors, directors of department concerned, governors and vice governors of districts, armed forces, and the city hall officials. The meeting was raised 4 primary issues as follow:
First, the report on drainage system management in Phnom Penh
Second, gabage fees
Third, the guideline on the organizing of the third International Peace Day, the 12th anniversary of Constitution Day, PCHUM BEN Day and Kathentean
Fourth, the reopening of classes (2005-2006)
Director of Department of Public Work and Transportation Nhem Saron raised in the meeting that for the first 9 months of 2005, the department installed the drainage system along the street 430-289-291-2004-274-199-211 and in Beoung Trabek school, totally 5,030 pipe culverts, installed 210 box culverts and clean up the sewage system along Phreah Monivong, Trasak Phem street, street 214-143-156 and street 161. He added that the Department of Public Work and Transportation tries it best to fulfill its duties.
