The Governor Visited the Drainage System Construction Site

-The Phnom Penh Governor adviced to people living illegally in Pagoda’s campus or public land

H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh Municipality, visited the drainage system construction site (900 m X 0.60m), from Vong Kut Borey Kabel Phos Pagoda to street 2004 at Sangkat Tek Thla, Khan Russey Keo. The drainage system is for draining water from the pagoda and 6 villages in Sangkat Tek Thla to Stung Mean Chhey water basin. In that occasion, the governor told people who lived illegally in pagoda’s campus or public street to move out, otherwise the City Hall will take a legal action without any compensation. He also instructed the expert officials, local authorities to ban them from occupying in that location. It should be recalled that there are some business close to the pagoda which are harm to the Buddhism.
