As instructed by SAMDECH HUN SEN, Prime Minister of Royal Government of Cambodia, in 2005 the Municipality of Phnom Penh built and repaired more streets than the previous years. “From the beginning of 2005 to November, the Municipality of Phnom Penh built and repaired 167 streets financed by the Ministry of Finance and Economic [using the budgets in chapter 30], 10 streets by the Municipality of Phnom Penh and 109 streets by government 50% and local residents 50% and raised the projects to construct 29 more streets. Street 143 or street SAHAKUM EUROP has just been repaired. The street is 1.900 meters long and 9-10 meters wide which passes through Sangkat Beoung Kang Kong I-II and Olympic, Khan Chamkamon,” said Mr. NGHEM SARON, Director of Department of Public Works and Transportation.
