The International Monetary Fund is writing off 19 poor country debts which Cambodia is one of 19 countries chosen to benefit from a 3.3 billion dollars debt relief package approved by the IMF this week. The amount of 82 million dollars in debt for Cambodia was written off. The IMF’s representative in Cambodia, said in the statement. The debt write-off is intended to help the impoverished Southeast Asian nation advance its economic development goals.
