Municipality of Phnom Penh held first workshop on Sangkat Councils Association of Phnom Penh under the chairmanship of H.E KEP CHUK TEMA— Governor of Phnom Penh Municipality, H.E LENG VY— Interior Ministry local administrative department director, H.E MAM BUNNEANG— First vice governor of Phnom Penh, Mr. MAO BORA— chief of municipal local administration unit, Mr. SOY KOSAL— chairman of SCAP and chief of Sangkat Toul Sangkel along with NGO’s representatives, Sangkat concilors, national and international guests. This was the first time for municipality to hold this workshop. The workshop was aimed at promoting the Sangkat councilors to do commitment to ensure the providing of materials and services with efficiency, accountability and transparency way through Sangkat councilors and improving the standard of living and welfare of people through decentralization governance.
