Khan Toul Kok office held a meeting on strengthening the local development and decentralization under the chairmanship of H.E MAM BUNNEANG, first vice governor of Phnom Penh Municipality and first vice chief of Excom of Phnom Penh Development Committee. Attendants: Governor and vice governors of district, vice director of local administrative unit, chairman of SEILA Program adviser, director department of Rural Development, Sangkat chiefs, deputy Sangkat chiefs, and Sangkat councilors After listening of Khan Facilitation officers, H.E MAM BUNNEANG identified 4 main points in order to find gap and solution.
1. Monthly report of Sangkat councilors
2. Local development projects
3. The use of revenue-expense budget
4. Civil registration
The meeting showed the progress in democracy at local level and pros and cons of the work activities.
