On December 3, 2005 H.E KEP CHUK TEMA, Governor of Phnom Penh Municipality led a delegation to compete World Leadership Awards from 5th to 6th December, 2005 in World Leadership Forum in London.

The presentation and defense of “URBAN RENEWAL PLAN” in the forum above, Phnom Penh Municipality won the award, beating two other cities- Antananarivo and Lisbon.

A brilliant success makes officials and people in Phnom Penh happy and also provides a great honor and proudness to our nation and Cambodia people. It is an indication that under the leadership of Royal Government of Cambodia with Samdech HUN SEN as a Prime Minister, authorities of all level, police forces, and people in Phnom Penh work together to rehabilitate and develop Phnom Penh city to be the centre of political, economic, administration, tourism, diplomat with stability, safety, security and development which turn Phnom Penh into heart of Cambodia.
