MR. SOK SAMBATH , president of the Association for Development of People Transportation and the Cambodian Freedom Democracy Right, known as the leading activist of demonstration against rising gasoline prices, pledged to the Phnom Penh governor not to cause social order problem in the occasion of visiting H.E. KEP CHUK TEMA , Phnom Penh governor, at municipality of Phnom Penh on November 10, 2004.
In addition, “Prime Minister SAMDECH HUN SEN and he want to see the decreasing of gasoline price, because when the price of gasoline increases, it will affect the daily living of people. But today, government's capacity is limited, if we compare to the neighboring countries. They have their own supply of gasoline. In Cambodia, 100% of gasoline is imported,” the Governor said.
