EIA Survey for Development of Dang Kor New Disposal Site
a. Public hearing
Based on the scope of work of EIA, C/P and Study Team conducted 2 times of public hearing for the development of the Dong Kor proposed new disposal site. C/P and Study Team will conduct 3rd public hearing in May 2004 for finalizing the development plan.
a.1 1st Public hearing
Purpose
The purpose of the 1st public hearing is to explain the plan of EIA survey and the draft development plan of proposed disposal site in Dang Kor district to the people and parties concerned.
Selection of attendants
Three Sangkat, Dang Kor, Prey Sar and Cheung Aek, were selected as the target area of attendants for the 1st public hearing. The number of attendants were 96 (villagers and local officers : 95, NGO : 1).

a.2 2nd Public hearing
Purpose
The purpose of the 2nd public hearing is to explain the draft results of EIA survey and the draft final development plan of proposed disposal site in Dang Kor district, which were conducted based on the result of 1st public hearing, to the people and parties concerned.
Selection of attendants
-An area within 1km radius from the center of proposed disposal site
(Representative of all household)
- Along the national road 303rd which connects the center of Phnom Penh and the proposed disposal site (all Phum (Phum means village) chiefs and vice Phum chiefs of the 9 Phum in the area)
- Along the downstream of Prek Thnot river which is located in the south of the proposed disposal site (all Phum chiefs and vice Phum chiefs of the 14 Phum in the area)
The number of attendants was 348 (villagers, MOE and local officers: 342, NGO: 6).
